Covid-19

The Burrito Project postponed public events scheduled in January 2022. As cities and counties are starting to open up, we are looking forward to seeing you in February 2022. Remember to collect socks for this year’s Socktober event.
We will reevaluate our events scheduled during January and the following months as developments with the “Coronavirus” make themselves known.
We are an organization with service for others as a central pillar of our mission. It’s with a heavy heart that we must decide not to go help those in need as we normally would.
Our volunteers are our greatest resource, so it’s crucial to protect you and your health during this Covid-19 outbreak. Out of concern for the safety of those we serve and for our valued volunteers, we will be suspending our normal volunteer activities.
It’s our strongest hope to be back on the streets of our communities distributing food, water, toiletries, socks, and blankets to our neighbors in need. To continue our efforts long-term, we have to make this tough, short-term decision.
Many of us may find ourselves with some extra time on our hands for some “Spring Cleaning.” If you have extra blankets or warm clothing taking up room in your closet, consider washing them and donating them to someone in need.
Be safe, everyone, and thank you for your understanding,
The Burrito Project TEAM
